태양의 정지 (없어진 하루)

성경의 기록이 첨단 과학기계인 컴퓨터에 의하여 사실로 입증된 놀라운 사건이 있다.
미국의 메릴랜드주 볼티모아시에 있는 기계회사사장이며 NASA우주계획고문인 헤롤드 휠씨는
놀라운 사실을 신문에 발표를 했다. (인디애나주 발행 이브닝 월드지)
커티스기계회사에서는 날마다 컴퓨터앞에서 10만년전까지의 달과 태양의 궤도진행의 시간을
측정하였다. 정확한 궤도를 측정해야 발사할 인공위성의 궤도를 작성할 수 있기 때문이다.
그런데 갑자기 컴퓨터작동이 중단되며 비상신호가 울렸고 이에 조사를 해 보았더니 그 궤도
진행상에 `꼭 하루가 없어졌다`는 사실이 판명되었다.

아무리 계산을 해 보아도 하루가 모자라는 것이었다. 과학자들의 머리로는 도저히 알길이
없었다. 며칠 후 젊은 과학자가 이렇게 말했다. 어릴때 교회에서 들은 성경이야기를 하면서
태양이 멈춘 이야기를 하였다. 과학자들은 처음에는 웃어넘겼지만 다른 방법이 없었다.
그래서 성경을 가져다가 자세히 조사하여 셩경책에 나와있는 그 시대의 궤도를 컴퓨터로
자세히 조사를 하면서 성경 여호수아 10장 12절의 말씀을 찾았다.

"태양아 너는 기브온 위에 머물러라 달아 너도 아얄론 골짜기에 그리할지어다"

위의 말씀은 여호수아를 대장으로 한 이스라엘민족과 아모리 사람과의 싸움중에 싸움이
길어질때에 여호수아가 여호와께 기도한 결과 태양이 기브온위에 머물고 달이 아얄론골짜기
에 말씀대로 거의 종일토록 머물렀다. (수10:13)

과학자들의 조사결과 그때 태양이 멈춘 시간은 정확히 23시간 20분이었다는 사실이 밝혀졌다.
성경에 거의 종일토록이라 했으니까 23시간 20분의 시간은 정확한 것이지만 나머지 40분에
대해서는 행방을 찾을 수가 없었다. 그때 바로 그 청년이 다시 말했다. 성경어딘가에 태양이
뒤로 물러갔다는 말씀이 있다고, 과학자들은 곧 성경을 가져다가 열왕기하 20장 8-10절의
히스기아에 관한 이야기를 찾아내었다.

"선지자 이사야가 여호와께 간구하매 아하스의 일영표위에 나아갔던 해 그림자로 십도를
물러가게 하셨더라" (열왕기하 20장 11절)

하나님께서 유다왕 히스기야에게 병을 낫게 하시는 약속의 증거로 해 그림자를 십도뒤로
물러가게 하셨다. 십도를 시간으로 계산을 하면 40분이 된다 (지구가 원이기에 360도이며
하루를 분으로 계산하면 1440분이 나온다. 1440분에 360도를 나누면 1도는 4분이 된다.
따라서 10도 물러갔으니 40분이 되는 것이다). 그리하여 잃어버린 하루를 찾을 수 있게 되었다.
성경을 신화처럼 여기던 과학자들이 컴퓨터를 통하여 성경이 사실임을 깨닫게 된것이다.

"과연 내 손이 땅의 기초를 정하였고 내 오른손이 하늘을 폈나니 내가 부르면 천지가 일제히 서느니라"
(이사야 48장 13절)

창조주이시며 천지 만물의 주인이신 하나님께서 시속 108,000km로 태양주위를 자전과 공전을
하는 지구를 세우지 아니하시고 우연히 그렇게 되었다면 지구는 관성의 법칙에 의해서 모든 만물이
파괴되어 버렸을 것이다. 이는 만물이 창조주의 말씀에 복종하며 그 분의 질서대로 움직임을 증거해
보여주는 것이다.

우주와 그 가운데 있는 만유를 지으신 신께서는 천지의 주재시니...(사도행전 17장 24절)

Confirmed At Green Belt Research Center
Now the great computers at the green Belt Maryland space Research Center
have given the most up-to-date confirmation of Joshua and Hezekiah`s miracles.
Harold Hill, of Baltimore, Maryland, a consultant to the space program has
authorized the following report :
"I think one of the most amazing things that God has for us today happened
recently to our astronauts and space scientists at Green Belt, Maryland. They
were checking the position of the sun, moon, and planets in space where they
would be 100 years and 1,000 years from now. We have to know this so we don`t
send a satellite up and have it bump into something later on in its orbit. We have
to lay out the orbits in terms of the life of the satellite, and where the planets
will be so the whole thing will not bog down!
They ran the computer measurement back and forth over the centuries and it
came to a halt. The computer stopped and put up a red signal, which meant there
was something wrong either with the information fed in to it or with the results as
compared to the standards. They called in the service department to check it out
and they said, "It`s perfect." The head of operations said, "what`s wrong?" "Well,
they have found there is a day missing in space in elapsed time." They scratched
their heads and tore their hair. There was no answer!

One religious fellow on the team said, "You know, one time I was in Sunday
School and they talked about the sun standing still." They didn`t believe him, but
they didn`t have any other answer so they said, "Show us." He got a Bible and
went back to the book of Joshua where they found a pretty ridiculous statement
for anybody who has `common sense.` There they found the Lord saying to
Joshua, "Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thine hands: there shall not
a man of them stand before thee." Joshua was concerned because he was
surrounded by the enemy and if darkness fell they would overpower them. so
Joshua asked the Lord to make the sun stand still!
"That`s right - "The sun stood still, and the moon stayed . . . . . . . . . . . . .
and hasted not to go down about a whole day." Joshua, 10th chapter, verses 8,
12, 13.

The space men said, "There is the missing day!" They checked the computers
going back into the time it was written and found it was close but not close
enough. The elapsed time that was missing back in Joshua`s day was 23 hours
and 20 minutes - not a whole day.
They read the Bible and there it was -"about ( approximately ) a day." These
little words in the Bible are important. But they were still in trouble because
if you cannot account for 40 minutes you`ll still be in trouble 1,000 years
from now. Forty minutes had to be found because it can be multiplied many times
over in orbits.
This religious fellow also remembered somewhere in the Bible where it said the
sun went BACKWARDS. The space men told him he was out of his mind. But
they got out the book and read these words in II Kings : Hezekiah, on his
deathbed, was visited by the prophet Isaiah who told that he was not going to die.
Hezekiah asked for a sign as proof. Isaiah said, "Do you want the shadow on the
sun dial to go ahead ten degrees?" Hezekiah said, "It`s nothing for the sun to go
ahead ten degrees, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees." II Kings 20
: 9 - 11. Isaiah spoke to the Lord and the Lord brought the shadow ten degrees
BACKWARD!
Ten degrees is exactly 40 minutes!
Twenty-three hours and 20 minutes to Joshua, plus 40 minutes in II Kings
makes the missing 24 hours the space travelers had to log in the logbook as
being the missing day in the universe!
Isn`t that amazing? Our God is rubbing their noses in His Truth!
